I have a customer with an MFSYS25 who wants to purchase an additional compute module. The only ones I can get from my vendor are MFS2600KI compute modules which are NOT compatibile with the MFSYS25 chassis. Can the MFSYS25 be upgrade by replacing the midplane and managment module with the V2 versions?
Thanks,

Depending on what hard drives you are using, you may also need to update your power supplies and I/O fan modules. See the 'Notes' column in the http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/mfs5520vi/sb/CS-030301.htm Intel Modular Server Systems — Tested hardware and operating system list (THOL)

I have upgraded my MFSYS25 to MFSYSv2 using the description of Thomas Krenn.
You need to replace the Midplan with a Mdiplan2
and replace the Management Modul CNN with a CNN2,
I am master of bussiness administration and I have done myself. It's very easy.
Good luck
