Cannot get M10JNP2SB Motherboard to Boot

I have a Intel M10JNP2SB Server board with a Xeon E-2146G processor installed.

The board is powered by a be quiet! SFX L Power 600W power supply.

I have 32GB of the required Memory Modules - two Kingston16GB sticks.

I have everything connected properly. The problem I am seeing is the server turns on (when power is supplied to the board- i.e. without turning on using the case switch), but it makes a week sounding few clicking sounds without any drives hooked up, the LED2 (next to the memory sticks) is on constant green, the CPU fan then speeds up, a single week beep happens, and then the LED2 flashes / blinks green. I can turn off the computer using the case switch and turn it on again but with the same actions as described.

At no stage is there a signal to the monitor.

Can someone please assist me if this is a Power Supply problem or memory issue?

Hello Kegsie,

Thank you for joining the community

Please try the following steps:

1. Make sure that Main Power 2 is also connected from the power supply.

Please refer to the link below and go to page 11 for the product specification of M10JNP2SB

2. Make sure that both RAM/Memory are installed on DIMM_A0 and DIMM_A1.

Please refer to the product specification of M10JNP2SB on page 19 for the memory configuration.

3. Try to use one DIMM at a time on DIMM_A1 slot only.

4. Remove the CMOS battery for 5 minutes and reinstall it back then test the system.

5. Do a PSU (Power Supply) isolation test to check the if the fault does not lie on the PSU.

Also please check the Chassis Compatibility List for the Intel® Server Board M10JNP Family
