Hello

Help me, please.

I have a server with RMM4.

Server is connected to only one port to the NIC 1.

There is a network setup:

ip: 78.24.218.163

Subnet mask: 255.255.248.0

Gateway: 78.24.223.254

How do I make a single port (NIC 1) worked RMM4 and operating system?

Thank you.

The BMC LAN channel 1 and OS NIC1 have different MAC addresses, although they share the same physical connector. So what you need to do is assign a different IP address for the NIC in the OS.

Go into BIOS set up (F2 during POST)

Select Server Management - BMC Lan Configuration

Fill in the IP infor in the section labeled Baseboard LAN configuration.

On the bottom of the same page, make sure you have configured a User Accout.

I usually select

User ID User 3

Privilage Administrator

User Status Enabled

User Name Doc_SilverCreek

User Password ***********

Then press F10 and save.

You should now be able to open a web browser from any system on the same network to http:\\78.24.218.163
