Copy Virtual Drive of Domain Controller on MFSYS Module Server

Hello. I have a MFSYS25. I have a virtual drive on Storage Pool 1 that belongs to a 2008r2 Domain Controller. I am creating a new storage pool and would like to move or copy the domain controller's virtual drive to the new storage pool. Would this procedure cause the domain controller to think it has moved to new hardware and cancel Active Directory replication or would it not recognize that it has been moved at all? Are there any concerns with doing this?

Thanks

The hardware will look identical to the DC, as long as you don't change LUNs.

Thanks Dan_O.

Just as reference for others, the LUN number is chosen when you Assign the new virtual drive that was copied.

First unassign the previous virtual drive. Then you can assign the new virtual drive as the same LUN as the original. The OS does not know that it was changed and functions as normal.
