Hi all!
I just bought an Intel DBS1200KPR board, Xeon 1230 v2 and 2 lots of 8GB Kingston ECC 1600MHz RAM (datasheet: http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR16R11D4_8I.pdf http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR16R11D4_8I.pdf). With the memory installed the system refuses to post and gives an error in the form of 3 beeps repeating. According to the manual this means there is a RAM error, however the RAM is to spec as far as I can see. Any insights?
Also if I install some normal DIMM's the system gives an error in the form of 2 beeps, break, 2 beeps, then the beeps stop and nothing appears on my monitor. I'm not using a dedicated video card. According to the manual this means there is a problem with the VGA option ROM, anyone know why this is occuring? Surely I don't need to waste my 1 PCI-E port on a video card?
Thanks All!

Hi Richard,
I think you need to buy a Xeon with integrated graphics or buy an additional graphics card.
Intel's processor page says your Xeon E3-1230V2 does not have integrated grahics. There
is otherwise no graphics chip on the mainboard.
Regards
Stefan
