Device Passthrough across Sockets in a Multi-Socket Setting

Greetings,

In a Dual Socket Server is it possible to passthrough a "PCIe device A" which is hanging from Root Complex of CPU 1 to a VM that is pinned on CPU 2. If so is there some PCIe/QPI(or UPI) Packet encapsulation/decapsulation that takes place ?

P.S. I don't have access to a dual socket machine so can't test it myself.

I don't have a dual socket server to test this thing. It was just a doubt that whether it is doable.

No problem at all, lots of question on the Forums, normally can be related to something you might want to work on the future.But for the PCIe/QPI(or UPI) Packet encapsulation/decapsulation. First, it will depend on the motherboard manufacturer and the OS been used. If there any other questions, I will request your permission to close the threat.
