Distribution of server power between two power supplies Intel R1208WFTYS

Hello friends,

The servers use only one power supply to work and the other is in reserve(supply#1=90-100%;   supply#2=0-5% this is how the server uses power supplies). The server can change the use of the unit and transfer power to another. This is a problem as such a situation can put a heavy strain on power lines thus creating a critical load on 1 line when the other is not involved.

How can I change the settings for an even load on the power supplies(supply#1=50%;   supply#2=50%)?

In servers the balance of mod is chosen.

After investigating the server configuration, we would like to share with you the following information:

The server system can have up to two power supply modules installed and can support the following power supply configurations:

• 1+0 (single power supply)
• 1+1 redundant power
• 2+0 combined power (nonredundant)

1+1 redundant power and 2+0 combined power configurations are automatically configured depending on the total power draw of the system, If the total system power draw exceeds the power capacity of a single power supply module, power from the second power supply module is utilized.

Since the power configurations are automatically configured, the server will balance the load of the PSUs however if you want to set up any of the configurations above you can check on the following article steps:

It is worth mentioning that 2+0 combined is nonredundant as a single power supply.
