The S5000VSA supports EFI. Is this an Intel script you're trying to run, or some 3rd party? Do you get an error message?

Yes it's possible, if the .efi utility is for UEFI 2.0 environment. The S5000 series servers use EFI 1.1, while the S5520/5500 servers use UEFI 2.0. So normally an EFI utility for S5520/5500 won't run on a S5000 server. Check the readme file for the EFI utility for it's requirements

Hello,
A simple way to test your EFI shell.
Download this utility http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17367&ProdId=2869&lang=eng SELViewer
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17367&ProdId=2869&lang=eng
Go into the EFI shell
Go into the corresponding folder where the file SELView.efi is found.
Run the file, it should give the full system event log.
All the best,
Kind Regards,
Aryan.
