Error code 1072365566 when reinstalling Intel Active System Console when trying to set a new password.

I uninstalled the program originally since I was unsure what the original password was. It starts to install fine but after I type in the password, and click yes to bypass the weak password prompt, A box with that error code pops up. I have not been able to find much about it except for a site for IBM troubleshooting which said something about uninstalling C++ Redist 2005. I did so which then tried to install the System Console again which prompted me to install 2005 again. It then got to the same point and gave the same error code. I have also rebooted the server which did not seem to help. The server in question is an Intel S3420GP running Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. Thanks for any help.

Hello dethsquid,

 

 

Please try removing Intel® Active System Console by using http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-professional-version.php Revo Uninstaller in order to make sure all leftovers of the program are removed and then try reinstalling the Intel® Active System Console.

 

 

If issue persists you could try installing the http:// https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3387 Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)

I tried those steps and was still given the same error message. It installs partially but will not progress past the window to set a password. In order to close out of it I have to use Task Manager as it wont let me cancel out of it.

Have you tried reinstalling the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86)?

 

 

Intel Active System Console install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86) as a prerequisite.
