Hi,
Got my new SR2612URR yesterday. I came with the 12 drive slots with a SAS midplane and a cable connected from the SAS connector to the four of the siz on board SATA connector on the main board. After plug in six 500GB SATA drives and none of the was detected by BIOS. Can it works? Or I need additional piece of hardware to make it work?

The SR2612UR uses a SAS expander, which requires a SAS controller. It doesn't work with the onboard SATA connectors.

I purchased with the Intel® Integrated RAID Controller SROMBSASMR2 (AXXROMBSASMR) and it just works fine after I configured all the six disk in a DG with RAID 5.
Thanks.
