HI BMC LAN configuration - S2600WF intel server (R1304WFTYSR) -
BIOS saves IP address for BMC LAN configuration and retains it after reboot but
doesn't retail subnet mask or gateway IP.
BIOS accepts the configuration but when checking BMC LAN configuration after reboot, there is
no subnet mask or gateway IP address retained.
Is this a bug?
This is a newly acquired server.
When booting it warned that BIOS firmware needed to be upgraded from factory default.
I then upgraded to
S2600WFR_EFI_BIOSR02.01.0017_ME04.01.05.002_BMC2.88.e172ff67_FRUSDR_2.04_PMEM1.02.00.5446.zip
Which completed.
I've confirmed the BMC has been updated to 2.88.e172ff67
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Vijay,
Thanks for the documentation.
Problem is the configuration is set to static as the documentation advises, it allows us to specify the IPv4 address but
the subnet and gateway IP are read only and are set to 0.0.0.0 without any ability to update them.
It really does seem like a bug as are other intel servers allow us to specify the subnet mask and gateway IP.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hello Michael Bethune,
Greetings!!
Could you please confirm which port you are using to configure the IP?
Reset BMC in BIOS and try configuring BMC LAN again, then share the results with us.
Regards,
Vijay N.

Hi Vijay,
I'm wanting to use the dedicated management 1Gbps ethernet port.
When you say Reset BMC in BIOS, where should I go in the BIOS to do that?
Regards
Michael.
