Hi, tell me please what different between Integrated RAID Module - not software (for example RMS25KB080) and RAID Controllers (for exsamle RS3UC080)? I mean globally differents.

The main difference between a Intel RAID module and a RAID card is the connection interface with the board. RAID controller cards connects through regular PCIe slot connection only, while RAID modules can use either a PCIe connection or a Intel proprietary port already enabled in the Intel server boards only. Their functionality is the same, both are 12Gb/s SAS capable, both can use the same RAID software management tools. The RAID module though, spares a PCIe port in the board since it connects in a different location.
