High CPU Usage on Intel Server When Hosting My Website – Any Optimization Tips?

Hi Intel Community,

I’m hosting my website on a server running Intel Xeon processors, but I’m experiencing unusually high CPU usage, especially during peak traffic hours. The server load spikes significantly, causing slower response times and even occasional downtime. I’m trying to identify if this is a hardware limitation or if there are ways I can optimize the setup to handle the load better.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Optimized my website code and database queries, which helped a bit but didn’t solve the issue.
  • Upgraded the RAM, but the CPU usage remains high.
  • Monitored traffic patterns, but the spikes still occur randomly, not just during high traffic.

Could this be related to specific server configurations or BIOS settings that might improve CPU efficiency? Or would upgrading to a more recent Xeon model be the best option? Any advice on troubleshooting or optimizing CPU performance for hosting would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
