How do I check the cache battery status in RWC3 for my RSP3DD080F RAID controller?

I added a AXXRMFBU7 battery to my RSP3DD080F and I want to make sure the controller is happy with it. Is there a way in the web utility to verify this?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Intel Server Community Support.

I was reviewing the following article "12Gb/s Intel® RAID Controllers User Guide", and according to section 7.5 "Monitoring the Intel RAID Maintenance Free Backup Unit" it mentions that it is possible to verify the status of the RMFBU from the RWC3.

Please allow me some time in order to verify where exactly is the section within the RWC3 to monitor the status of the RMFBU.

As soon as possible, I will be contacting you back in order to provide you the most accurate information.

Best regards,

Hello,

The way to check on the BBU or Super Capacitor information within RAID Web Console 3 is through the controller properties. There should be a tab showing other hardware and an Energy Pack should be one of them. It shows under Cache Vault and the status of the pack is there.

I have attached a screenshot from one of our servers in the lab to share as a reference:

Give me another day. There’s a bunch of files copying over and it has another 20 or so hours to go.

At this time the card isn’t seeing the Energy Pack. I haven’t rebooted since I installed it so I’m going to shut down and reboot tomorrow as soon as this first batch of files is finished.
