How to access IE UART located inside PCH C624 from Linux OS ?

Hi,

I have an Ash Creek Falls (ACF) processor with C624 PCH.

This PCH is having Innovation Engine (IE).

IDE-r and KT devices are visible in lscpi linux command  but I'm not seeing any IE UART.

There is some concept - Host root space IE devices and IE root space IE devices.

According to technical document, Only host space device are visible in host space and UART is not one of them.

So Is there any way to access IE UART from Linux?

Thanks & Regards,

Hardik

 Hi,

I have gone through some more documentation and will trying to narrow down the query.

IE runs on inlet quark micro controller and it has support for Zephyr RTOS.

So now question is that which IE version is it?  IE D2000, C1000 or something else ?

Thanks & Regards,

Hardik

Hello Suchitra,

I hope you are doing great, thank you for your patience and time, we would like to know the Intel server Board that you are inquiring about. If you purchased a pre-built system or third-party motherboard you have to contact the manufacturer for the latest updates and technical support information.

Hi,

Seems like we have zephyr RTOS in IE but I do not have source code.

Probably I need to check with Vendor.

Could you please help how Linux and Zephyr talking.

Any IFSI Layer should have been added in Zephyr ?

Thanks & Regards,

Hardik
