I really hope this is a dumb question... but Intel server configurator, motherboard documentation, server documentation, and raid card documentation all say they are compatible with each other. Raid card documentation shows installing the raid card to a "mezzanine port" that does not exist on the motherboard. I've been through every page of documentation for the server system, the motherboard itself, and the raid card, including all compatible products lists, and there is no mention of any other adapter kit or mezzanine install kit or anything... no special cables or mounting brackets... and yet I can literally find no way to attach them to each other.
I have purchased this RAID card from a place that won't let me return it for a PCIe based one... I made the mistake of trusting the Intel documentation I guess... so now I'm stuck with it.
My question is simple: How do I attach the RMSP3AD160F mezzanine RAID card to the M50CYP2U312 (server model) / M50CYP2SBSTD (motherboard)???
There is no "mezzanine port" on the motherboard as pictured in the RAID card documentation, so if there is one, it must be a different shape or style and located in a different place, which means there must be some kind of interface adapter?
Thanks in advance!
