Hyper-V on SR2625UR (requires DVD drive device driver)

Hi All!

I have Intel Server System SR2625UR containing S5520UR Server Board and SASMF8I RAID Controller and I try to install Hyper-V Server R2 on it.

The server boot from DVD-ROM and installation began. However after press Install key the installation programm notifies me:

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now."

What driver I must use?

I try to use some drivers from intel.com site. I try to use other USB DVD-ROM and try to change all possible SATA modes in BIOS, but it no results.

How I can continue to install Hyper-V on server?

Hello,

This driver will be the onboard raid controller driver.

Are you connecting the optical drive directly to the sata ports on the board?

If yes, have you set the sata ports to be configure as ide, where in this case you wont need any raid driver.

Since this system have different options for raid support, you can try these one until i know exactly to which one you have.

I try to install drivers:

ESRT2_Windows_v.13.13.1021.2009_WHQL

intel_chipset_v9.1.1.1025

ir3_Windows_drv_4.23.0.xx

LSI_SAS_MPT_Windows_ph17_v.1.30.04_WHQL_2009.12.11_rev1

but Hyper-V not don't like anyone of them.

The SATA Controller was in ENCHANCED mode. The description says: "[ENCHANCED] - support up to 6 SATA ports with IDE Native Mode."

I also try to use this issue with "SATA Controller - Disabled" parameter, but also got a same notify: "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing." When i try browse any drivers of them, got a notify: "No new devices could be found"

I'm trying to install Hyper-v server R2 on a SR2600URLXR chasis and instalation cant find any storage device drivers neither on INTEL CD that was provided ,nor from USB when i offer the drivers from 3 links above. can you help me out with this ?
