I have motherboard S5500BC and 1 installed processor Xeon E5520. I want to replace all the memory. I bought 2 of the Kingston (Hyperx Furry HX318C10F/8). Each module is 8 GB. After you install the new memory - server starts but complains about the following errors: 8542, 8522, 85E0. What am I doing wrong? Or this memory will not work on the motherboard S5500BC processor-Xeon E5520?

Hi Philip,

check this site http://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?DeviceType=8&Mfr=INT&Line=S5500BC&Model=54353 Memory Search for Info on the memory, Other Manufactures have similar sites.

This may also help.

Kind regards

Andreas

Did I understand you correctly that I can't put the memory module 8 GB?

But nowhere is written, not that this motherboard does not support memory module 8 GB.

Why, then, the motherboard starts up and gives log, in the BIOS? (Installed memory is 2 modules of 8 GB. Only 16 GB.)
