Intel(R) C610 series/X99 chipset USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 - 8D26

Can't find drivers for my USB controller on HP Z440 Server.  Contacted HP and they say they only support Windows 10.

USB port works great with Windows 10.  Windows 11, thought drivers are updated through windows updates, they can't see external drives larger than 2 TB.  They see my 3TB as 768GB, and can't read the data off it.

Same machine under windows 10 saw and can R/W to it just fine.

HELP?  what options do I have?

Hi DanTheMan1,

Thank you for contacting Intel support.

Intel does not recommend using incompatible software and hardware that have not been tested to work together. Additionally, since the processor and chipset are embedded and shipped with the system, you will need to contact the OEM/HP for further support.

Furthermore, according to the following link, Windows 11 is not listed as a supported operating system for your system: HP Z440 Workstation Specifications.

For additional assistance, you may refer to this link: Intel Server Chipset Driver for Windows. Please note that this driver is only compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit), Windows Server 2016 family, and Windows Server 2019 family.

I also want to inform you that both the Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2637 and the Intel® C612 Chipset have reached their End of Interactive Support (EOIS). Intel no longer provides technical assistance for these products, but you can seek help from other community users. We recommend searching for answers using the available self-help resources at the following link: Intel® C612 Chipset Specifications.

For more information about the EOIS status of these products, please refer to: EOIS Status Document.

If you need any further assistance, please create a new case as this case will no longer be monitored.

Regards,

Simon

Thanks.. driver you provided is what I have.   They "kind of" work but not with external storage over 2TB.

Z440 uses the C610 (same as C612?) and Processor is E5-1650 (V3, V4) or E5-2697 V4 - Not sure what that had to do with the E5-2637?

So the gist of it, is that USB ports will not work with Z440 on Windows 11 for External Drives > 2 TB it sounds.
