Intel SSD P3520 1.2TB

Hi,

Would an Intel SSD P3520 1.2TB drive - PCi-e 3.0 (4x) fit a 2U case and is it compatible with an intel 2600CW2S motherboard? I see the motherboard only has PCIe Gen III x8, and PCIe Gen III x16 slots.

In other words are PCIe Gen III x8 and PCIe Gen III x16 compatible (both technically and physically) with the lower speed PCIe Gen III x4 drive?

Also do I understand correctly that the form factor of the hard drive (HHHL (CEM2.0)) means it would be able to fit a 2U server?

According to the ark.intel.com repository the Intel SSD P3520 series hdds are fully compatible with the S2600CW2S board, no matter whether installed on a 8x or 16x slot. About the form factor most likely you will need to install the SSD using one of the PCI riser cards that come on the chassis. Hi,

Thank you, I have purchased and installed the device. It is working without any issues. I only had to change the BIOS to UEFI mode to allow booting from the device.
