Intel® Server System R1304WT2GSR fan works very loud like at reboot

we added pci Adaptec ASR-6405 instead of onboard to have hardware RAID-5

and since that we made RAID, install Server 2012 - fan roars all the time like the unit at start . . .

what shall we do to calm it . . .

Fans can go loud for several reasons, in this case since you add a card to the system first make sure that you left the lid completely closed.

Recommendations you gave are the same as our sale manager (one who sold us the unit) . . .We followed them once more (BIOS was updated before to v...20).Dragged the Adaptec card out and inserted again, firmly closed the unit cover - and fan goes calm . . .The problem was over!

One more question . . .

All the way we tried to control fans - we searched for a page in BIOS with current temperature and fan speed - and did not find it . . .Is the only way to see this information - Intel special programs . . . ?
