Intel Xeon D-1736NT recomended working temperature

Hello,

we are preparing a CFD simulation for our customer and we would like to know the recomended working temperature (idle and under full load) for the Intel Xeon D-1736NT processor.

From what I know in general, the idle temperature should be somewhere between 60-70°C and under load somewhere between 70-80°C.

Kind Regards

Hello STURM-GmbH,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In regard to a specific document that will tell you exactly what the recommended temperature is while the processor is on a system that is idle and also under full load, we don’t offer that kind of information and the main reason we don’t offer it at least not in that way is that any sort of temperature ranges can vary based on the system’s design, configuration, and workload; however, there is documentation that we have that is not publicly available that can help you get the temperatures that you need, the document can be found if you search for it in our Resource & Documentation Center (RDC). The name of the document is the following: Intel® Xeon® D-1700 Processor Family Thermal and Mechanical Specification and Design Guide (TMSDG).

In order for you to have access to this document through our Resource & Documentation Center’s (RDC) website, you will need to have a premier account. For more information on how to apply for a premier access account feel free to check the link below.
