Hello,

I'm in the process of upgrading the BIOS firmware of <!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:swiss; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-520092929 1073786111 9 0 415 0;} @font-face {font-family:Tahoma; panose-1:2 11 6 4 3 5 4 4 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:swiss; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-520081665 -1073717157 41 0 66047 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-unhide:no; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; mso-default-props:yes; font-size:10.0pt; mso-ansi-font-size:10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;} @page WordSection1 {size:612.0pt 792.0pt; margin:72.0pt 72.0pt 72.0pt 72.0pt; mso-header-margin:36.0pt; mso-footer-margin:36.0pt; mso-paper-source:0;} div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;} -->S5500HCVR and the wizard asks me for S/N and the Part Number of my chassis.

I have found the S/N but I cannot find the Part Number to fill in the wizard request.

Can anyone hint me where to find this P/N?

Here's the tag I found o n the Chassis:

Product code: SC5650BRP

TA NO: E33520-005

S/N: AZP00010950

Doesn't really matter - It's just a text string to log system information. You can use the TA# , or just answer "No" when prompted to update this information. Same for system S/N, asset tag, etc.

hi,

you can find the partnumber from the manual document that is shipped with the server.

Note: its not mandatory to enter this field. this is just to identify the servers if it goes wrong based on the SNMP mail.

You can name the servers as you wish like WS1, WS2.. as long you can refer the correct server.
