Hi all
i 've a raid performance problem caused by intel expander axx4drv3gxp and axx6drv3gxp. When i copy files localy or by network, the speed will pass from 100 mb/sec to 300 k/sec. Raid web console will log this info
LOCALIZED MESSAGE = Controller ID: 0 Unexpected sense: PD = Int.Ports 4-7:1:2Power on, reset, or bus device reset occurred, CDB = 0x2a 0x00 0x0c 0xc8 0x91 0x00 0x00 0x02 0x80 0x00 , Sense = 0x70 0x00 0x06 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x29 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
when the message is logged, the speed will return to normal condition until the speed down to some k/sec. If i remove the expander and use raid with hard drive as backpanne, all work fine.
my system is
case intel SC5400LXNA
board: s5000pslrombr : latest firmware 101
raid intel SRCSASJV : latest firmware 0.51
expender intel axx4drv3gxp and axx6drv3gxp : latest firmware available with case installed : 2.14
when i flashed the expender, i remove the rrm2 ( ver. 6717) card and i used the dos version.
What can i do with this ? Can i downgrade firmware on expender or should a flash again with the same version ? Someone have an idea ?
Many thanks

for information it's solved
i downgrade expender firmware to 2.12 version. more fast , no more time out and error on rwc2
1- remove rrm2 card
2- disconnect expander 4 from secondary
3- downgrade firmware of expender 6 on primary
4- shutdown and disconnect expander 6 to connect expander 4 on secondary
5- downgrade firmware of expander 4
