Intel raid controller bios shows a 4tb drive only as 2tb

I buyed 2x new 4tb drive from seagate to upgrade an old Intel SR2600UR server. After I build everything together I notice that the raid bios only shows them as 2tb. (its the SROMBSASMP2 Controller)

I made a vrtual drive in raid 1 out of them and looked it up in my os (Linux Mint 20) their gparted showed them as 2tb to. It cant be the MBR partition problem because gparted is supporting GPT and is really good with server hardware.  The raid bios has not the newest firmware but I think its still dine with 1.40.232-1007.

I tried a lot of thinks in Linux but it doesnt seem to be the problem because the bios it self shows up 2tb. Yes some time the bios reads a bit less than what the drive has but in linux it allways has been fine and 2tb cant just diappear.

I dont know what to do now and google doesnt have an idea whats going on either. Even if need to install windows to install firmware and than delete windows I would do it so please help. By the way I am native german and my english is not that great so sorry for that.

Her are a few Images from that problem:

It sounds like what you are talking about would be an age-related issue in the BIOS. Have you checked for a later BIOS release for this board?
