I am interested in buying a laptop with very specific needs. I want the laptop to have core 2 Quad Q6700 processor and very basic other configurations such as Gigabyte motherboard (p35 chipset) as i shall also be installing mac leopard on it and as per my knowledge surfing on net, gigabyte and asus motherboards are most compatible with mac and also support dual boot.
Also i have heard that Q6700 is just a desktop processor and not a laptop processor. Is this true?
My budget is up to $1200 and i think that cost cutting can be done by using light graphics cards and open source operating systems. Can you help me out?
