Dear Intel Support,

I have number of deployed servers with the Motherboard Model DBS2600CW2R and using PSU Model FXX750CRPS. We are reciving reports of the PSU's fans suddenly ramping up, and not reducing back down. The only solution we have found to stop the issue is to Power down the server, Unplug and Discharge the server by holding down the power button for 15 seconds, then plugging the PSU back in and rebooting. We have noticed that often power event lasting less then 1 second, will often trigger the fans ramping up.

Is there a way to stop the fans, in this situation, that does not require a reboot of the system?

Is there a Known issue for this combination of PSU and Motherboard?

Hello MDash Thank you for joining the community Full speed fans could be caused by several issues. Sometime it works like a attention alarm to let people know there is something going on with the server health. The best way to stop the fans from spinning faster is to fix the root cause of the issue. About your servers could you tell what the BIOS version is installed on them? The most recent one is from 4/1/2019 so if you are not running these version would be worth it to update. You can download it from the following URL: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28699/Intel-Server-Board-S2600CW-Firmware-Update-Package-for-EFI?product=88278 Please let me know how it goes.
