Hi Intel Support,

We're assemblying 3 servers, 1st and 2nd server has no problem on the assembly and now we're having issues on my third assembly of Intel Server System, to give you details of the Server system, please see below.

3 out of 16 RAM are having issue not usual issue or behaviours.

1st and 2nd RAM with issue installed on DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 slot was appearing "Installed&Failed", the RAM is causing the memory module next to them to fail which is installed DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2.

We tried to replace the RAM installed to DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 it with good RAM and no problem encountered.

Other issue to third RAM, We have installed RAM to DIMM_C1, DIMM_C2, DIMM_D1, DIMM_D2.

When the 3rd RAM with issue was installed to DIMM_C1 is was appearing "Not Installed" and all other RAM installed to DIMM_C2, DIMM_D1, DIMM_D2 will appearing "Not Intstalled" too.

We tried to replace the 3rd RAM installed to DIMM_C1 and all the RAM installed to DIMM_C2, DIMM_D1, DIMM_D2 will all be "Installed&Operational.

Have your team, encountered this king of issue with Kingston? Please advice us and I need your opinion what is causing this king of issues?

Thanks in advance.

Hello SonLedda,

I am sorry for all the problems you have encountered with your Memory configuration on the Intel® Server Board S2600WTTR.

I will first recommend testing each memory with just one CPU installed. Please ensure all memory works on A1 and B1.

After you have tested all memory, then test the second CPU on slot 1.

Then with one CPU test memory on A1 – B1 – C1 – D1.

If this works then installed the second CPU and try to populate E1 – F1 – G1 – H1.

This information can be found on the https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/server-boards/Intel_Server_Board_S2600WT_TPS.pdf TPS Manual on page 26 – 29.

If the problem persists please flash https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28002/Intel-Server-Board-S2600WT-BIOS-and-Firmware-Update-for-EFI?product=88281 BIOS to the latest with minimum configuration.

If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.

Best regards,
