MeshCommander 0.6.3 remote desktop nuc with w7 professional x64bits

Hi ...

I have installed Mesh commander 0.6.3 it on a computer with windows 7 since a mini pcs calling system with intel v10 has been implemented in my workplace.

Currently, I have added more than 60 mini-pcs.

They are brand plexus with intel v10 ...

But 9 of them have been installed with professsional windows7 and when I try to access them with remote desktop it gives me timeout ...

However, about 58 computers with the same hardware but with the fedora linux distribution, I can access by remote control without problems and restart them and interact with the desktop ...

I would have to configure some parameter in the mesh commander or in the minipcs with w7 professional to be able to access by remote control and interact in the desktop as with the linux (fedora)? ....

A thousand thanks...

Hello kiketoboso,

Thanks for joining the community.

Could you detail what method did you used to provision the Windows 7 mini PCs? ACUConfig, MBex?

Is the Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver and Local Management service (LMS.exe) installed on the windows machines?

These equipment we leave an external company installed, and the type of communication

It was putty, but after reviewing several forums I found

meshcommander 0.6.3, and I have seen that it works below the operating system, which is independent of it, and after installing it on my pc that has w7 professional, I have verified that I can access without problems 51 nucs

that are installed with fedora, but at 9 nucs that have w7 professional

when I connect it gives me timeout error,

Hello kiketoboso,

When I say provision I am referring to a remote management method called Active Management Technology which will allow you to remotely monitor a system even when they are out of band (OOB) or turned off.

For monitoring them using AMT you usually use Mesh Commander or the Intel Manageability Commander. If you are using any other monitoring method like Remote Desktop or VNC you are really not using AMT, thus the systems are not provisioned and we might be talking about different things.

Please let me know if this is what you are talking about: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/intel-active-management-technology.html?_ga=2.21483451.1662332179.1528430749-1032146475.1528430749 https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/intel-active-management-technology.html?_ga=2.21483451.1662332179.1528430749-1032146475.1528430749

I am currently using mesh commander 0.6.3 ...

In the fedora I have no problem accessing(fedora x64 bits)

In windows 7 professional 32 bits I get timeout error ...

If I access them with ultravnc, by ip, using port 1

That is to say for example

10.36.218.15:1

But I would like with meshcommander 0.6.3 to also control the 9 windows 7

since if not with ultra vnc, I have to be reviewing the ips of the computers every time they fail, and with mesh commander I have them added and it is much more comfortable.

Thank you.

Hello kiketoboso,

So you mean that you are actually able to access the Linux computers through Mesh Commander?

Did you remember to have used something like ACUconfig software to setup the connection to those Linux machines or the Windows ones?

http://info.meshcentral.com/downloads/mdtk/meshcommander.msi If I can access machines with 64-bit fedora linux, I access with mess commander 0.6.2, and even when I restart them I see the boot of bios and how it starts fedora ...

No, to my knowledge nothing has been enabled in any nuc ...

Hello kiketoboso,

Been that the case I think that you are missing the configuration procedure on the Windows machines. You want to make sure you have installed the Intel Management Engine driver (MEI) and Local Manageability Service (LMS.exe) You can download it from downloadcenter.intel.com for the particular machine you have. (LMS installs in the same MEI driver installation package.)

After that you want to download and follow the installation instruction for the Intel Setup and Configuration Software (SCS) https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26505/Intel-Setup-and-Configuration-Software-Intel-SCS-?product=39104 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26505/Intel-Setup-and-Configuration-Software-Intel-SCS-?product=39104 in order to provision these Windows machines to be configured for Active Management Technology (Intel AMT). After that you should be able to access them through Mesh Commander or Intel Manageability Commander.

For help you can check the following documents: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000020976/software.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000020976/software.html

Let me know how it works.

Hello again, I have finally installed intel amt on the client computer, but I have two different cases ...

In a computer I get a screen to enter a password and the message I attach to the computer I'm accessing ...

And in the second I can access, I see the screen, and even pressing the ctr-al-del button works for me, but with the mouse I can not mark anything does not work ...

I can also reset the computer with w7 and restart it I just need to be able to act with the mouse as I do with the fedora ...

Hi Kike,

Can you please send us the logs of System Discovery tool. You will get the logs running the command ACUConfig.exe from the Host.

More details of the tool and configuration at https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/guides/amt-configuration-utility-user-guide.pdf Intel® AMT Configuration Utility User Guide
