I have an Intel Server Board S2600BPS with an Intel Ethernet Connection X722 (LOM) and I cannot find firmware (NVM Image) 4.10. According to VMware's HCL, I'm supposed to match the driver currently installed with firmware version 4.10. I tried this NVM Update utility but it indicates that an update for the NIC is not available. (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24769/Non-Volatile-Memory-NVM-Update-Utility-for-Intel-Ethernet-Network-Adapter-700-Series). The NIC is currently on firmware version 3.29.

Hello josemartz,
After checking, we have version 3.49 as the latest. Can you check if this one will work.

Hello Michael,
I could try it but even if I update the NIC to that version, I'll still have an unsupported driver and firmware combination according to VMware's HCL. According Intel's website, there should be a firmware version 4.10. Also, VMware's HCL lists the firmware 4.10 as the supported combination for the driver that I currently have. The big issue here is that I opened a ticket with VMware recently and when they noted this, they stopped the troubleshooting indicating that I have an unsupported configuration. Below are some screenshots of Intel's website and VMware's HCL and the links from where I took the screenshots.
Thanks,
Here's the information on Intel's website - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005893/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.html

Hello josemartz,
Thank you for sending all of those details. At this point, we will also coordinate with our Server team to further check this issue because your Network card is embedded on a server board. We may also route this case to them if needed so please wait for our update. Thank you.
Best regards,

Hello josemartz,
Thank you for joining the Intel community
The latest NVM update for the X722 NIC embedded on this board is the one already provide earlier (here) version 3.49. Usually the VMWare required drivers and/or firmware images are provided by VMware. I will proceed to research if a newer NVM update is available though. Will let you know as soon as I have updates

Thanks Mike / Jose,
I'll try to update the NIC to version 3.49 just to be on the latest version, and reopen my case with VMware so they can check and fix the HCL because there's definitely something wrong there.
Thanks again for your help and time.

Hello josemartz,
Thanks for your patience with this issue
We are still working on the case and it has been escalated higher.
Usually, Ethernet Adapters (PCIe) do have the latest NVM available; however, it takes more time to validate that when related to a LAN on Motherboard (LOM). That is why 4.1 is not available yet for X722 when integrated to S2600BP.
We will get an answer for you as soon as possible. We appreciate your time and patience
