P4308RPLSHDR mounting RAID cache battery

Hello,

The P4308RPLSHDR has an 8 bay hot swap HDD unit that blocks the RAID cacher battery mounting location.

Where do Intel suggest the cache battery be mounted in this chassis as a result of the designed position being unavailable

Regards,

GT

VELCRO to the chassis floor is the ONLY answer.

I looked through the Spares and Configuration guide at http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-034197.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-034197.htm and didn't see a battery backup. Which one are you using?

do you think the heat inside the chassis will affect the adhesive that holds the velcro to the metal?

It's Ireland we don't do heat...

Velcro'ed to floor of server so nowhere to fall...we don't do earthquakes either over here

A design omission on Intel's behalf. The P4308 chassis have nowhere available to mount the battery when used with a mezzanine RAID module on the S1200V3RPL
