On the Intel ARK, specification page for Intel® Optane™ SSD https://ark.intel.com/products/97162/Intel-Optane-SSD-DC-P4800X-Series-375GB-12-Height-PCIe-x4-20nm-3D-XPoint DC P4800X Series, nor the page for Intel® Server Board https://ark.intel.com/products/65384/Intel-Server-Board-S2400BB4 S2400BB4, does not show under compatible Hardware.
But if you see the P4800X specs and the S2400BB4 show that PCIe are compatible.
But like I said Intel has not test it for compatibility.

I was able to get a hold of a specalise engineer on this system and the explained that the P4800X is not compatibl with R2208BB4GS9.
