Please check my parts list for S1200KPR home server.

I'll be running Solaris 11 for a ZFS file server.

1) Intel Server Motherboard LGA1155 PCIe SATAiii S1200KPR

2) Intel Core i3-2130 3.40GHz 3MB 1333MHz LGA1155 Box BX80623I32130

I'm o.k. with Solaris stuffs since we use Solaris mostly in my industry thus I have plenty of resources around

The blog is a good source for anecdotal information. But if you run into any problem and need to contact support, they will ask you for details, including what memory you are using.

If you use untested memory, unpredictable results may occur.

So you will go to brycv.com and they will assume responsibility for any memory issues you may incur with your server, correct?

You're free to use the components of your choice in your server. However, if you choose to use components that are not tested/validated by Intel you will need to perform your own validation to your satisfaction. If you contact Intel with issues that may be related to non-Intel validated components, we may request the you substitute validated components for further troubleshooting.
