Populating an Intel AUP8X25S3NVDK

Hello everyone,
If I am using an Intel AUP8X25S3NVDK with an Intel S2600STBR motherboard in an Intel P4304XXMUXX chassis and have drive bays 0 and 1 populated with NVMe drives that connect to the motherboard by Oculink, can I populate drive bays 2 and 3 with SAS drives and use the SAS connector to a RAID card?

I also wanted to ask, if an NVMe drive in a RAID 1 in the hot-swap goes bad, can it be hot swapped?
