Hi
The R1000SPO has a CPU plastic air duct that covers the RAID, CPU and RAM, this means there would be a restriction on the RAM height, the duct i would assume is high enough to be just under the lid, we are guessing about 35mm height on the RAM, can you confirm the maximum height of RAM that can be used in this case please?
For this project i would normally use Kingston Intel validated RAM (KVR24E17D8K2/32I) which is 31.25mm high (from pin to top), please see this 2 page PDF datasheet from Kingston for confirmation https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR24E17D8K2_32I.pdf https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR24E17D8K2_32I.pdf

Hello Ashley,
We just tested low profile and high profile memory on a system running the Intel® Server System R1000SPO and both DIMMs fit after placing plastic cover. Remember to check the list of compatible memory for your device https://serverconfigurator.intel.com/exalt/RequestManager?ServletNumber=1&dynamicUser=Y&localinfo=0&... here.
Best regards,

Hi Sergio
I ran the configrator and the Kingston memory listed (KVR21E15D8/8) is the same height so that answers my question (it fits).
However as an FYI the configurator appears to be wrong, i selected E3-1230v6 CPU, this CPU doesnt support 2133 RAM (KVR21E15D8/8 is 2133 RAM) (according to the Intel ARK page below), this needs to be fixed.
