RAID Controller RS2BL040 BBU Fault

Either I'm so unlucky or it's common trouble for RS2BL040. Or a certain firmware. Can someone suggest?

2 Intel servers with the same configuration and software in a different contries from different supplyers

I just never use Intel raid controllers before and after. Only LSI or Adaptec. Never seen BBU fault. It was my first time.

I see the servers perfomance degrade this month. Just write cache switched off.

This is the BBU after 2-2.5 years of usage. Both the same:

AOZ,

The BBU Firmware Status of "Battery Replacement required" seems to indicate the BBU has failed.

John
