Hello.
We have a module: Board Manufacturing Date / Time: 2018/07/07 20:03:00
Board Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Board Product Name: RMS3JC080
Board Serial Number: ADJC82702434
Board Part / Model Number: H24094-204
FRU File ID: 5972-5625-P0
It is installed in a server platform with an S2600WFT motherboard.
We want to make a planned replacement in a RAID10 array of 4 SSD disks.
As we understand it, we cannot do this on a Hot-Plug or it is not desirable, we have no cache.
Can you help with a step-by-step replacement of one disk, which we will apply sequentially to the rest of the disks as soon as the data is backed up to the new one?
The new discs will, of course, be of the same size, but other models of the same Micron brand

Hello dvnet124,
Thank you for joining the Intel community
Before attempting any disk replacement operation make sure you have an up to date back up created.
The failed SSD replacement should be pretty straight forward. The consideration about if hot or cold pluggable depends more on the back plane than the cache. But if you really want to avoid any risk you could perform the following steps:
- Locate the failed SSD before turning off the system
- Turn off the server system
- Remove the failed SSD
- Plug the replacement new SSD
- Turn on the server
After rebooting the system the RAID module should recognize the new SSD and start the rebuilding operation automatically. In case it doesn't you can always access the RAID BIOS (CTRL+R) during POST and initialize the new SSD.
For further details you want to check Intel® Integrated RAID Solution User Guide and Intel® RAID Controller SRCSASLS4I Hardware User’s Guide
Hope this helps
