I have a client with an Intel S5500WB system, featuring a RS2BL040 SAS controller. They normally mirror drives, and recently one of the 1TB SAS drives failed. The replacement drive is expremely scarce due to the flooding in thailand. SATA drives are more readily available.
Is it possible to use a SATA drive as a mirror alongside the original SAS drive?
