I am building a server with Intel components:

Raid Controller is shipped with a cable.

This cable has 4 SATA connectors and 1 cable labeled < SGPIO >.

Where should i connect this SGPIO cable.

what is its function?

SGPIO cable is not needed when you use an expander backplane.
