Hello,

To answer your question, the reason could be related to the firmware version on the RAID controller. We recommend making sure you have the latest firmware and also rebooting the system (signing out the application) after installing it. By the way, are you installing the application on the host system or a virtual machine?

Dear Dan_Intel

Thanks for the response. Answering the suggestions please follow below:

The RAID RMS25PB080 has FW version 23.28.001 currently. I cannot find a reference on RMS25PB080 (SATA) on the Intel website that tells me there is a later FW version. All the RAID FW references points to SAS and none to SATA HDD's. Please provide a link where the current latest FW version is quoted.

I have installed the RWC2 software on the hardware side as well as on the HYPERV servers. Same problem remains.

"Discover host" runs out and then a message comes that says the RAID is not found or installed on an unknown host server. A few hours later, it reports a RAID server on IP 169.154.140.25.

The problem clear itself after a extended time of a few hours.

Using this IP the RWC2 works well. After a Restart the same long period is required.

Something is not right here. The RAID IP address is not in the DNS list. So where does it come from, and how secure is it? Is this the reason why it takes long to establish a new lease from some DHCP somewhere?

Hello,

There is only one version of the RAID controller and the latest firmware update can be found here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24834/ir3-2208-ROC-Hardware-RAID-Firmware-Flash-Update https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24834/ir3-2208-ROC-Hardware-RAID-Firmware-Flash-Update

Hopefully the latest firmware update will address the issues you are experiencing with the console.
