Raid Controller temperatures reading incorrectly

Hi,

I have an Intel SC5600LXNA chassis with the 6 drive hot swap option and a S5520HCR server board. The RAID controller is a RS2WC080 with Seagate Cheetah SAS ST3300657SS hard drives. When monitoring the temperatures they are reported at 65C in both BIOS and in the RAID 2 Web Console.

We have updated the RAID controller bios, but still get 65C as the drive temperatures. This is a new server build and need to configure the alerts.

Hopefully someone has seen this before.

Thanks, Jay.

Did you also update the Hot Swap Backplane firmware?

Yes the firmware is 2.17 on the backplane and the RS2WC080 firmware is 20.10.1-0020

For troubleshooting purposes I loaded an older firmware on the RS2WC080 to 20.5.1-0003 and now the temperatures are reading correctly!

Go figure..........
