S1200BTLR: Active System Console "Data is being retrieved, Please retry"...

Hi,

I have a S1200BTLR motherboard with E3-1280 V2 and 16Gb ram.

Everything appears to be running fine with Server 2008 r2 sp1 64bit (enterprise edition).

However, I can't get the Intel Active System Console to work (I'm only trying to run it on the local machine).

When I logon it forever says "Data is being retrieved, Please retry".The documentation says it normal to get this message for a short while, but my installation never moves beyond this.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, several times, using version from the CD that came with motherboard (\software\windows\asc\asc_x64.exe), and latest download from Intel (IASC-5.0-Build15_Windows.zip).

Nothing seems to help.

I've updated all the bios and firmware:

Bios Version: S1200BT.86B.02.00.0037

Build date: 05/30/2012

BMC Firmware Version: 1.14.3503

SDR Version: SDR Package 1.14

ME Firmware Version: 2.2.0.36.

Can anyone help me with ideas to get this piece of software to work please?

Thanks,

Bryce Stenberg

The only note I see in the readme is:

IASC needs several minutes to collect system data when ran for the first time, it may show

information "data is being retrieved, please retry". This is normal operation, re-login to IASC

to retry. Also check the hostname resolution on the server to include the domain name server

setting or hosts file configuration.

I had the same problem - I had first installed RAID Web Console, and that was the problem. After removal of both software and then I installed first ASC, everything was ok. After I installed RAID Web Console, everything was fine too.

Hello,

I have the same problem when connecting (locally or remotely) to ASC website. Every time I see the "Data is being retrieved, Please retry" message. Waiting doesn't helped. Connecting with IE9 or Firefox

EDIT:

When installed new server 2008 r2 with ASC v5.5 (before Intel WRC2 installation) and connecting from windows XP with IE8 I have found some script warnings on the ASC site:
