S1200SPLR and Pentium G4560

Hi,

I bought S1200SPLR and Pentium G4560.

When starting with the minimum configuration, it does not start with the following message.

This CPU is not supported.

Update to the latest BIOS.

I thought that S1200SPL"R" supports G4560.

Why is such a message displayed?

It can not enter BIOS SETUP screen.

Should I update BIOS in BIOS RECOVERY mode?

Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, I do not have another processor on the list.

I confirmed the PBA number.

# H57532-250

Also I recorded the exact message displayed at startup.

It is as follows.

Warning: BIOS supports basic functionality for this CPU type.

Update to the latest BIOS required to enable full functionality

and minimize erroneous system operation.

Press any key continue.

I am very happy if you give me advice.

Thank you for your reply.

I can not enter the BIOS setup screen even if I press the F2 key.

Therefore, I can not check the BIOS version.

Is it dangerous to use BIOS recovery mode?

Hello Kasuya,

Please try to perform a firmware recovery update by removing the BIOS recovery jumper, you can find the location by checking the https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S1200SP_TPS_R1_1_S1200SPL_S1200SPS_S1200SPO.pdf Technical product specification page 85

Dear Sergio,

With your advice, I was able to solve the problem.

First of all, there was a problem with the USB-PS2 converter I was using.

After replacing the USB keyboard, I was able to enter BIOS SETUP.

And updated BIOS using BIOS RECOVERY MODE.

As a result, it was possible to start normally without displaying a warning message.

Thank you for much advice!
