S2600CP can't start after I installed another graphics card

I fitted a S2600CP with 2*E5-2670 and 128GB Reg ECC in a tower case. The system was running normally for a month. I was using a GT610 and tried to replace it by a GTS450. The system just won't start even if I switched back to GT610. As long as I plug in the power cord, the blue SYSTEM ID LED will blink for several seconds, then turn constantly for around 1 minute and go out finally. The other LEDs are in green like normal. If I push the power button all the fans will rotate for less than 1 second and stop. I didn't find any visible damage on the board so there must be something wrong with the software. Anyone encountered the same problem? How to solve that? Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.

Based in the information you have provided, I would like to recommend the following:

*Try basic configuration: 1 processor and 1 memory module.

I have encountered a similar boot issue. There are no error messages, no beeps. Status led is green.

I've already replaced PSU, CPU and memory with no luck.

Could you tell me, did you managed to solve the problem?

Hello,

What is the model number of your Intel Server Board?

Have you tried only the CPU without memory? you should get some beeps.

Thank you for your reply.

The model of the board is Intel S2600CP4.

Motherboard without CPU generates beeps.

Motherboard with CPU and without memory doesn't (no beeps).

Could you tell me whether such a symptom indicates motherboard hardware failure?

The problem has appeared after moving the motherboard to another chassis.

In order to troubleshoot, I pulled the motherboard from chassis, disconnected all devices (pcie/usb), and then:

1) removed and replaced the memory modules (I left only one module);

2) replaced the PSU;

3) replaced the CPU;

4) changed pin to clear the BIOS to default;

I'm still able to login via RMM4 connection, however all available sensors are displayed as green. No error messages in system log.

I also uploaded firmware to usb drive and tried the bios recovery procedure, but computer shutdowns after 1-2 seconds (similarly as in previous situations)

Best Regards

Hello,

Thank you for sharing all those details.

Based on that, there are big chances that the server is already defective.

I would like to recommend to contact our http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html# @14 Intel Server Support Team.
