S2600CW and x4 PCIe SSD 2.5” drives

Hello everyone,
On page 45 of the S2600CW Technical Product Specification (rev 2.61) there is a reference made to a x16 PCIe add-in card to handle x4 PCIe SSD 2.5” drives. What is the model number of this card? Is it the AXXP3RTX16040?

Thanks
Ray

At this point I have tried every avenue, unless you have any other thoughts, we should just close this.

I've wasted WAY too much time looking for this part and being told it doesn't exist.

Thanks, Ray

Hello RSump1,

Thank you for joining the Intel community

This part number you refer AXXP3RTX16040 is not compatible with the S2600CW server board. It is called a Retimer and it is for a newer system. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/124458/4-port-pcie-gen3-x16-retimer-aic-axxp3rtx16040.html

You get the compatible RAID controllers and modules for this S2600CW board you can refer to the Spares/Accessories List and Configuration Guide on the following URL: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/server-boards/S2600CW_P4000G_Configuration_Guide.pdf#page=38

Hope it helps

There is nothing listed there in reference to the card.

Hello RSump1,

Exactly, the card AXXP3RTX16040 does not show up in the document because is not compatible with the S2600CW board. Only compatible ones are shown. An alternate method is going to ark.intel.com and do a search for S2600CW, then go to compatible products and go down to RAID modules and controllers: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/83027/intel-server-board-s2600cw2.html

Looking at the S2600CW compatible products list, there is no listing for an x16 card nor is there any reference to PCIe drives. I can only assume this is a mistake in the Technical Product Specification.

Thanks

Thank you for the link, now the problem is I can't find any FUP8X25S3NVDK. Is this something Intel can help with?

Thanks, Ray

I'm being told by several distributors that this is a discontinued product. Does Intel have any FUP8X25S3NVDK in stock?

Thanks

Hello RSump1,

Unfortunately Intel does not sale items retail. You will need to contact either a authorized distributor or reseller for this purpose: You can visit this URL: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/find-a-reseller.html?wapkw=find%20a%20reseller to find a reseller closest to your location.

In the worse case scenario this part is no longer available and no existence found you can always try a 3rd party website like Amazon, but take into consideration that parts brought from them does not have a warranty with Intel.

Hope it helps
