Hi there,
I have an Intel Server System R1208GZ4GCSAS which uses the S2600GZ motherboard.
The motherboard BIOS and FRU have been updated with the latest available firmware.
I am having trouble getting 16x 32GB DIMMs (512GB total) to be recognized by the system. I have tried several population combinations and BIOS settings but always end up having a few DIMMs get disabled with "Failed test/Initialization". I have tried using only 8x 8GB DIMMs in the blue slots and that works out fine. Using only 8x 32GB DIMMs in the blue slots also works out fine.
The motherboard has 24 DIMM slots and I have 16x of these: HMT84GL7AMR4A-PB
This model is supported according to this document: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/platform-memory/ddr3-lrdimm-xeon-e5-2600v2-validation-results.pdf
The motherboard states that one should follow the fill-farthest method when populating DIMM slots. Here's the motherboard spec document: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/motherboards/server/sb/s2600gzgl_tps_r2_4.pdf
See pages 35 through 38.
While troubleshooting, I have concluded that the DIMM slots aren't the culprit.
Attached screenshot for reference. I hope someone on here knows what needs to be done.
I have tried searching for documents detailing population examples based on size, type and number of DIMMs but have yet to find one.

I managed to pull out 8 additional DIMMs of the same size and model to fully populate all 24x DIMM slots on the motherboard and continue testing. I also cleared BIOS, reinstalled latest BIOS release and cleared again. Still no dice.
It is odd that depending on the number of DIMM slots populated, either E1 to E3 is disabled or in this latest test, H1 to H3 are disabled.
