S2600WFT X722 LOM firmware update

I have an Intel S2600WFT server with an onboard Intel X722 network chip (LOM).  It currently has firmware version 3.49 and I am trying to update to 4.10 using the package at

I am attempting to do the update on Ubuntu Linux 18.04.

However, the firmware update utility (nvmupdate64e) claims "Update not available":

Thank you for joining the community

According to this article How can I Update the NVM on an Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter... if you encounter issues during the update you should contact support which is exactly what you did. Besides the obvious, there is no linux versions for the install package. My recommendation could be to try using the EFI package instead of the OS one. Please give it a try and let us know.

Hi Jose,

I just got around to scheduling downtime for the server to try an EFI update, and it turns out that in the interim a new firmware release had been published ("nvmupdatepackage_wft_wfq_wf0_v5.30.zip") -- and the new version of the Linux updater works perfectly.  So, problem solved!
