Hi

I installed on a S2600WTTR (Bios: SE5C610.86B.01.01.0027.071020182329 / CPU Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2660 v4 @ 2.00GHz)

ESXi 6.7. (6.7.0 (Build 10176752))

Now i see that some Sensors are unknown.

But on the VMWare Compatibility Guid the System shod be ESXi 6.7 compliant:

Intel S2600WTT Intel Xeon E5-2600-v4 Series ESXi 6.7,ESXi 6.5 U2,ESXi 6.5 U1,ESXi 6.5,ESXi 6.0 U3,ESXi 6.0 U2,ESXi 6.0 U1

Hello Siliconbrain,

Hope you are doing fine.

I order to better assist you can you share the Sysinfo logs from the current server?

Hello Siliconbrain,

Is there any fan ramping or processor overheating?

We checked the system logs and there are no errors events or critical errors in the server, seems to be working smoothly.

Did you try to clear the SEL, clear the C/MOS in the BIOS and then the same to the OS in order to see if that updates the sensors?

Regards,

Hi Charlie_Intel

I have installed ESXi 6.5 and all Sensors are fine!! Also alle Sensors in the BMC Health Status are green and OK.

So for me it looks like the Board is'nt fully supported under ESXi 6.7.

I would just like to know if this Board is fully ESXi 6.7 Compliant or not!

Hello Siliconbrain,

Well as the system logs were fine it should be working smoothly using ESXi 6.7, in regards to the compatibility question, yes, the sensor reading could be a software issue but it is related directly to Vmware, so I recommend you to open a case with them in order to have an accurate response and maybe an ETA from the latest O.S update to fix the issue.

Hello Siliconbrain,

So with the update, the issue or unknown sensor was reduced to 1?

Just the "Management Controller Firmware 2 NM" right?

Hi Charlie_Intel

Yes, with the newest Version ESXi-6.7.0-20181002001/ Build 10302608 (2018-10-16 Update 1) just one Sensor: "Management Controller Firmware 2 NM" is unknown.

Thanks

Hello Siliconbrain,

Perfect, it is a confirmation that the O.S updates are fixing the issue with each of their updates, and it is not a board issue, next new build should fix "Management Controller Firmware 2 NM" if it is necessary for the system.
