Are you adding the drives, two at a time, into the array? See page 77 (91 of 208) in the User Guide at http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022358.htm Server Products - Intel RAID software users guide

I Created a short video on how I can create RAID 10 from 4 disks and can only create raid 50 or 00 with 6 disks:

Arnoldas -

Good idea on the video, that really made things clear. Instead of making a disk group (DG) of three, then making a second DG of three drives, what you need to do is:

Add drives 1 and 2, accept DG

Add drives 3 and 4, accept DG

Add drives 5 and 6, accept DG

You should now have three groups of two drives (instead of two groups of three drives), and can make a RAID 10.
