Hi,
I recently puchased a second hand S5000psl motherboard which was supposed to be tested and working. I have tried 3 different power supplies but none of them seem to work.
Power supply 1 (actually came with the board)
Flashing green +5v standby led
Flashing amber MSB Led
Power supply 2 (450w)
Flashing green +5v standby led
Flashing amber MSB Led
Power supply 3 (Arctic Power 700W)
Solid green +5v standby led
Solid green & amber MSB Led
I cant seem to get the usual intialization alternate gren/amber lights. I have read in the instruction manual that this motherboard requires a SSI EPS 12V compatible power supply. I checked the Arctic power supply and it said it was EPS compatible? I really dont know what else to do and I dont want ot keep on trying different power supplies.
Please help, so I know if I need to send the motherboard back.
Thanks
Mike

Do you have the 2x4 12V CPU power connected? I suggest you choose a chassis from http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022653.htm Tested Intel® Chassis List or http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022654.htm Reference chassis list.
